Yes. We use a liquid-based Pap smear method, and any red blood cells in the sample can be removed by the lab. If it makes you uncomfortable to be seen when you are bleeding though, you can reschedule your appointment for another day. If you are being seen for a bleeding problem, it is actually beneficial to see you when the problem is occurring; and you should keep your appointment.
