Gynecology, Female Hormone Health
Dr. Laura Grant began practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology in Columbia in 1994. Twelve years and hundreds of babies later, she made the decision to give up the practice of Obstetrics and focus exclusively on Gynecology and Women's Health. Recognizing the value of a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare for women, she founded Women's Wellness Center in 2007. Dr. Laura Grant now specializes in perimenopausal hormone health, and she has earned the credential of NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner, awarded by the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), the preeminent scientific organization focused on menopausal health. Those who hold the NCMP certification have demonstrated and maintain special competency in the field of menopause.
Another major focus of Dr. Grant's practice is non-invasive office-based treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, which is the root cause of bladder and bowel control problems: incontinence, overactive bladder, urinary urgency/frequency, and fecal incontinence. Pelvic floor dysfunction is also the cause of many chronic pelvic pain conditions, such as chronic sexual or genital pain, chronic pelvic pain, and chronic bladder pain or interstitial cystitis. Dr. Grant and her team provide the utmost compassion and professionalism in caring for women with these intimate conditions.
